From producing cult live music shows to reporting on Darwin’s obsession with the barnacle penis, I’ve spent my storytelling career spotlighting the people keeping the planet cool – whether pop icon, conservationist or former president.

A bit of a backstory

My storytelling career has zigzagged across media, continents and formats, spanning 25+ years in editorial, broadcasting, live events and global impact storytelling.
Before creating two multimedia social-impact platforms from scratch – the kaleidoscopic TOPIA Magazine and trilingual Atlas of the Future – I produced iconic shows for MTV, the BBC, VICE, TVNZ and more. Along the way, live events, major awards and light entertainment. Then came the, quite literally, heavier subject of elephant welfare for National Geographic.
Best we don’t dwell on the year in Buenos Aires, scripting obituary shows for VH1. The legends started dying in the order I typed them. Bowie, Prince, George Michael.
I won’t tell you who’s next.
Less CV-friendly chapters include months of silence in a New Zealand national park sculpting candles for a supermodel in National Lampoon’s Animal House, crossing Australia with a surprisingly polite Slipknot, building treehouses with endangered gibbons in Laos (they were useless with a Phillips screwdriver), throwing parties in Argentine graveyards, and voicing Playboy TV.
These adventures inspired autobiographical short stories disguised as fiction, published in magazines including Dazed & Confused and HERO.
Currently Director of Content at a digital innovation and marketing agency specialising in wine and spirits, leading a multidisciplinary team of creatives to raise the bar in video production and editorial.
